Today, Jacobs competes in a highly consolidated and competitive industry. For example, in the Away From Home towel and tissue market, three international suppliers control nearly 80% of all sales. This type of consolidation has had dramatic negative impact on our negotiating leverage as a local independent business. One of our greatest success stories to combat this has been our 1987 affiliation with Network Services Company, a national association of independent paper merchants.

Jacobs plans to continue building on its foundation of success into the future. To this end, we have recently completed an acquisition in the janitorial sector. We hope to continue to evaluate acquisitions, and to grow both internally and through those means.
